About AAF Asheville

Who Are We?

AAF Asheville is the Western North Carolina chapter of the American Advertising Federation, the oldest national advertising trade association, with more than 200 chapters representing 40,000+ professionals in the advertising industry. The chapter provides advertising-savvy and marketing professionals the opportunity to learn, network and undertake projects that benefit the advertising community on a local and national level.

Our Members

AAF Asheville’s membership represents various industries that produce, sell and buy advertising. We welcome anyone who has an affiliation with advertising or marketing throughout Western North Carolina. We emphasize diversity in our membership and encourage freelancers, small, medium, and large businesses to join us, get involved and learn more about the advertising resources in our area.

We will be the leading professional association for advertising, streaming online, marketing, and public relations in Western North Carolina.

Our Mission

AAF Asheville offers advertising expertise and support to its membership and the entire Western North Carolina community through self-regulation, education, professional development, communication and public service. Our members work together to serve, protect and promote the interests of the advertising industry in our region. In doing so, we will create a more vibrant, stronger marketing community for everyone in WNC.

The American Advertising Federation (AAF), the nation’s oldest national advertising trade association, and the only association representing all facets of the advertising industry, is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and acts as the “Unifying Voice for Advertising.” The AAF also has 15 district operations, each located in and representing a different region of the nation. AAF Asheville is in the third district, encompassing other regions of North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
